MCG Medical Associates, Lake Oconee - One of the newest providers in Lake Oconee Village to open a medical campus is the Medical College of Georgia (MCG). MCG Medical Associates opened its doors and began treating patients on January 1, 2005. The campus, conveniently located at the intersection of Linger Longer Road and Highway 44, includes an 8,000 square foot ambulatory clinic. The clinic is open 365 days per year with Urgent Care available Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m until 6 p.m. Anchored by two full-time physicians (an internist and a pediatrician), a comprehensive array of medical specialties is also offered by board-certified faculty members of the school of medicine of the Medical College of Georgia. The specialties and subspecialties provided include gynecology, cardiology, gastroenterology, dermatology, urology, otolaryngology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, sports medicine, plastic surgery, neurology, psychiatry, pain management, general/GI surgery and allergy. In the future, MCG also plans to build an ambulatory surgery center at the clinic.

Cowles Clinic - Dr. Robert S. Cowles, a urologist and resident of Reynolds Plantation, opened the Cowles Clinic near Lake Oconee Village in 2004.  The Clinic is now the largest medical group in the area, with over 50 physicians in 26 specialties providing advanced, comprehensive care for all ages.  Cowles Clinic also features a full-service lab and imaging center, an executive health program and has the area's only cancer center.
