Reynolds Plantation on Lake Oconee

Founded in 2007 as a public charter school in Greensboro, Ga., Lake Oconee Academy is proud to offer another educational opportunity for the students of Greene County. Eventually serving students from Kindergarten through 12th grade, Lake Oconee Academy promotes an atmosphere of high expectations and high achievement for all children, and embraces the belief that every child can learn. To accomplish this the culture of the Academy has been built upon specific points of distinction that include the innovative Core Knowledge curriculum, data-driven and standards-based instruction, required parental contracts outlining the roles and expectations for parents and guardians, college preparatory diplomas for all students, and real world experiences through job shadowing and internship opportunities.
