The list of members of the Reynolds Plantation Builders Association is provided as a convenience only. It is an attempt to acquaint the prospective homeowner with the builders in the area, which subscribe to a certain criteria. Reynolds Plantation specifically excludes all warranties, expressed or implied, as to the financial stability, net worth, credit worthiness, or competence of the members of the Reynolds Plantation Builders Association.

Reynolds Plantation compiles certain information from applicants and makes a subjective judgment based on certain criteria as to whether membership shall be granted and maintained. In the residential construction business conditions can change rapidly and the Reynolds Plantation urges its customers and homeowners in dealing with a builder to be vigilant over the building process.

Jim Byers, owner of the company, began his association with the company in 1983 and has been building custom homes in the Lake Oconee Area since 1988. In 1993, Kingfort Homes became a member of the SOUTHERN LIVING Custom Builder Program. We completed our first Idea House in Reynolds Plantation. The SOUTHERN LIVING Homes Group carefully selects the participating builders based on their reputation among consumers and local building professionals, superior quality and attention to detail, innovative styling, and a well-established business in the marketplace. In 1999, Kingfort Homes was selected to build the 1999 SOUTHERN LIVING Idea House in Cuscowilla. With this selection, Kingfort Homes became the first builder ever asked by SOUTHERN LIVING to build two Idea Houses.

Kingfort Homes works closely with an architectural designer to help our clients achieve the home of their dreams. We also provide our customers with an interior design firm to assist with all interior and exterior selections. This step by step process helps our customers achieve a home that is truly functional and tailored to their preference and needs. We value our clients, and we strive to ensure their happiness.
