Ideal Living Magazine Home

Based on the Reynolds Plantation Signature Home Collection's most popular plan, the Series XXIV, the Ideal Home is the first signature home collaboration between Ideal Living magazine and Reynolds Plantation – and it lives up to its name in every sense of the word. With over 3,400 square feet of living space, the Ideal Home, built by Linger Longer Homes, is not only luxurious, but functional as well. “The Ideal Home embodies everything that ‘home’ means,” says Dave Robertson, editor of Ideal Living magazine. “We wanted people to walk in and think, ‘this is a place where I could make memories.’”

Located in Angel Pond with lake access by hardwood-lined walking paths, the Ideal Home focuses on design, functionality and aesthetics. Interior Designer, Tippi McMichael explains, “The home was designed to look casually elegant. With earthy tones and rich reclaimed woods, distressed leathers and multiple fabrics, we created a warm atmosphere appealing to both men and women.” Furnishings by Weinberger Furniture completed the look inside this stunning home and a water feature that wraps around the back of the property is easily enjoyed from the rear deck or patio. Exceeding ENERGY STAR requirements and certified as an EARTHCRAFT home, the building process is in-step with Reynolds’ dedication to the environment by incorporating the latest "green" building practices. Many of the environmentally friendly features go virtually unnoticed within the construction materials and techniques – such as spray-foam insulation, sealed air ducts, etc. But there are others that homeowners act with on a daily basis – Energy Star appliances, low-flow showerheads and faucets, reclaimed hardwoods, and recycled fabrics all permeate everyday life at the Ideal Home.

Indoors and out, the Ideal Home beckons life. It welcomes afternoon naps and evenings with the family, elegant dinners and outdoor excursions. Whatever the appetite or ambition, the Ideal Home provides an excuse.

The house will be open Wednesday thru Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5:00 p.m.
